On the occasion of Constitution Day, the Delhi High Court Bar Association (DHCBA) in association with Adhivakta Parishad, Delhi High Court Unit organized an exhibition of photographs given in the original Constitution of India in the Delhi High Court premises.
Justices Vipin Sanghi and Jasmeet Singh inaugurated the exhibition in the presence of Honorary Secretary Abhijat, and President of Delhi High Court Bar Association (DHCBA) Mohit Mathur, along with President Adhivakta Parishad, Delhi Prant, Jitesh Shrivastava and Secretary Jivesh Tiwari.
This exhibition will continue till December 3, 2021.
A total 21 pictures have been put up in the exhibition, along with a replica of the original Constitution which were also kept there.
Well known artist Nandalal Bose, with his team from Santi Niketan, created twenty-four unique illustrations on the manuscript of the Indian Constitution which were also showcased on the occasion.
The different pictures included the seal of Mohenjo-Daro, the Vedic gurukul, scenes from Ramayana and Mahabharata, portraits of Gautama Buddha, Mahavira, Shivaji, Guru Gobind Singh, Rani Lakshmibai, role of Emperor Ashoka in spreading Buddhism, trade and industry during Gupta period, court of King Vikramaditya, sculptures from Odisha, Nalanda, the Nataraj, Swastik Mahabalipuram, Emperor Akbar and Mughal architecture, Gandhiji’s Dandi March, Gandhiji’s visit to riot hit Noakhali, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and his Indian National Army (INA) etc.
