The Allahabad High Court on Wednesday refused to accept the unconditional apology forwarded by a man who, in the year 2016, had alleged that in the District Court, Bulandshahr all the Judges, Officers and employees are dishonest and are murderers of the Constitution of India. Court has initiated criminal contempt proceedings against him.
The bench of Justice Suneet Kumar and Justice Umesh Chandra Sharma passed the order on one Criminal Contempt Application. With an affidavit seeking unconditional apology, the contemnor Vikram Sharma appeared before the court in person. He was brought before the court from Naini Central Jail, Prayagraj where he is currently lodged.
Allegedly, in the December 2016, presenting himself as a representative of 125 crore Indians, Sharma wrote and dispatched a letter addressed to the Hon'ble Prime Minister, the Chief Justice of India, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and the Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court.
In the letter, Sharma had claimed that the Constitution of India shall be buried on January 1, 2017, and its ashes shall be sent to the responsible murderers.
He had stated, "The unscrupulous have made many fatal attacks on me to stifle my voice, against which application has been sent by registered post for the protection of my life. I have all the evidence of those. On April 30, 2014, all the unscrupulous judges, officers, employees made a fatal attack on me in the hospital in the police station in the office of the court. The dead body of murdered constitution should be handed over to me so that I can perform the last rites properly. Therefore, within 7 days of receiving the notice, explain the reason why the dead body of the constitution which has been murdered by you should not be burried so that it doesn't start an epidemic. The funeral should be done on January 1, 2017."

Later on, Sharma had also alleged that his colleagues who were named in the letter were also tortured by the said responsible persons. Allegedly, Sharma had also filed a complaint in this regard before the Senior Superintendent of Police for legal action in January 2017.
On perusal of the documents available on record, Court noted that notice need not be issued to the contemnor for filing his reply as he is present in the court. Court directed that the charge shall be served upon Sharma and a copy thereof be supplied to his counsel.
Posting the matter on April 4, 2022, Court directed Sharma to file his reply within four days.
