The Supreme Court on Wednesday granted interim protection to Pulsar Suni accused in a sexual assault & abduction case of an actress.

A bench of Justice Ajay Rastogi and Justice Bela M Trivedi has also issued notice in his plea challenging a Kerala High Court order, which dismissed his plea seeking bail in a sexual assault and abduction case, wherein Malyalam cinema actor Dileep is also an accused.

The bench was hearing the plea filed through advocates Sriram Parakkat and Satheesh Mohanan by Pulsar Sunil challenging the March 29, 2022, Kerala High Court order dismissing bail.

The plea has stated that, “Invariably there will be much more witnesses to be examined after further investigation and there is no likelihood of the case coming to a conclusion in the near future”.

It may also be noted that the Kerala High Court on April 19, 2022, has dismissed a plea filed by Malyalam actor Dileep in the same case seeking quashing of charges of murder conspiracy against him.
